I had the privilege of working with Morgan Kimmey over the past 2.5 years with my highly emotional and complicated divorce and custody case. I worked with Abby O'Flaherty to advise me for my divorce which was in theory being mediated. I was divorcing a lawyer. Mediation only worked for so long. Her advice was solid the entire time. She was a great balance of understanding when my arguments were on principle or on legal details and never judged either way. She knows what is credible in court, what is negotiable and what is simply up to the client. We dealt with getting information dumped on us and threats of repercussions and she didn't flinch at a single number or back down on what was in my best interest. It was a big boost of confidence to know she had my back. She was also clear about what is opinion and what is legal reality. In the end, she had to step in to speak with my ex's lawyer after advising me not to cave in to demands. She got the job done. I recommend her without hesitation. Make sure you have another person in the firm to speak to about scheduling to make that go smoothly.

If you are reading this in search of help for yourself or a loved one, take heart, things do get better and you will find your path to peace for your family. I found mine through Valerie, at Fenchel Family law. She was absolutely the right decision when deciding who would be best to represent me through my divorce.

She was the help my children and I needed to get out of a horrible situation, during extremely uncertain times. After experiencing other lawyers, I found her perfectly aggressive, empowering, dedicated and she gave me the confidence, information and strength to take the action needed during a scary transition.

She provided clarity, honest upfront information, and most importantly, she was right. The legal advice I received from her was spot on. She was direct, patient and clear. She knew exactly what we needed to do for myself and my family, always keeping my children's best interests at the forefront of decisions we made throughout my case.

Her team was compassionate, caring, extremely knowledgeable and expertly handled my complex case. Because of their guidance, dedicated hard work, and unwavering commitment to my case, my children and I have been able to begin to heal and move on to a much healthier life after several failed attempts to do so through other avenues.

In regard to other reviews mentioning fees, legal services do come with a cost. Managing the expense of any attorney is an overwhelming task, they are expensive and for good reason. The work, time, energy and expert knowledge needed to navigate the divorce process, especially with a narcissistic or abusive ex, is extensive and complex. Valerie was always honest, upfront and blunt with her billing, which I appreciated. She was always willing to work with me, when needed, on this issue.

Her tenacity and dedication never wavered throughout negotiating the financial aspect of our Attorney-client relationship, she fought for me and my children's best interests consistently, while offering fair and workable payment solutions and a willingness to discuss, explain and discount services where appropriate.

Those who've experienced a contentious divorce are familiar with the range and intensity of emotions and the challenges of litigation. Repeatedly targeted by an angry ex whose legal bills are paid by her parents, what I sought most in an attorney was knowledge and experience and the confidence that he/she 1) understood my case, 2) cared about my case, 3) had the time to devote to my case, and 4) would always have my back. At the end of my first meeting with Valerie I knew she and her experienced team would meet these criteria. Valerie would not allow herself to be baited by the unprofessional and antagonistic aggression of my ex's attorney, and instead kept me and her team focused on my legal objective, helping me pursue a thoughtful strategy that succeeded in extracting my son from a damaging school environment.
